2. Define a new Planning application property ENABLE_ASO_APP_FOR_PROVISIONING_IN_SHARED_SERVICES and set the value to true. This should be created under Application Property tab in Administration->Application->Properties UI.
3. Drop the required ASO application from Essbase
4. Re-start Planning services
5. Run database refresh from Planning
6. The ASO app should be created in Essbase and listed immediately under EssbaseCluster-1 node in Shared services for provisioning, LCM etc
7. Load back all artifacts backed-up in step 2
8. Provision users for this ASO app in Shared Services
9. To create security filter for this ASO app,
a.
execute the below command from Maxl:
Create or replace filter <app>.<cube>.<filter-name> <filter
definition>;
b. To copy security filter from an existing filter (e.g. copying security filter from existing BSO app to new ASO app), execute below command:
Create or replace filter <app>.<cube>.<filter-name> as <existing filter name>;
c. Alternatively, one can create security filters from EAS console.
10. To assign security filters, execute below command from MaxL:
a. Grant filter <filter name> to <user name>; User-name should be provisioned to ASO application in Shared Services.
b. One can assign/grant security filters from EAS console as well.
Perform these steps on all servers that host Financial Data Quality Management, Enterprise Edition product other than Planning.
1.
Stop all running EPM services.
2. If FDMEE is on Windows server, make a backup copy of the file HspEssbaseMainAPIErpi.dll present in: <EPM_ORACLE_HOME>\products\FinancialDataQuality\lib\64-bit.
3. If FDMEE is on non-Windows server, make a backup copy of the file libHspEssbaseMainAPIErpi.so present in: <EPM_ORACLE_HOME>\products\FinancialDataQuality\lib\64-bit.
4. Extract the 11.1.2.4.008 planning patch zip file, copy the file named HspEssbaseMainAPIErpi.dll (for Windows) or libHspEssbaseMainAPIErpi.so(for non-Windows) from 28103100\products\FinancialDataQuality\lib\64-bit, and paste it in: <EPM_ORACLE_HOME>\products\FinancialDataQuality\lib\64-bit.
5. Restart the EPM services.
Perform these steps on all servers that host any EPM system products other than Planning. For example, if ERPI Integrator and Performance Management Architect are installed on a different server than the Planning server, perform the following procedure on the server hosting ERPI and EPMA.
1. Stop all running EPM services.
2. Make a backup copy of the file HspJSClient.jar in: <EPM_ORACLE_HOME>\common\planning\11.1.2.0\lib.
3. Extract the 11.1.2.4.008 planning patch zip file, copy the file named HspJSClient.jar from
28103100\files\common\planning\11.1.2.0\lib, and paste it in: <EPM_ORACLE_HOME>\common\planning\11.1.2.0\lib.
4. Restart the EPM services.
Perform these steps on all servers that host Financial Reporting system product other than Planning.
1. Stop all running EPM services.
2. Make a backup copy of the files HspAdm.jar and hpadmcp.jar present in: <EPM_ORACLE_HOME>\common\ADM\Planning\11.1.2.0\lib and <EPM_ORACLE_HOME>\common\ADM-64\Planning\11.1.2.0\lib.
3. Extract the 11.1.2.4.008 planning patch zip file, copy the file named HspAdm.jar and hpadmcp.jar from
28103100\files\common\ADM-64\Planning\11.1.2.0\lib, and paste it in: <EPM_ORACLE_HOME>\common\ADM-64\Planning\11.1.2.0\lib.
28103100\files\common\ADM\Planning\11.1.2.0\lib, and paste it in: <EPM_ORACLE_HOME>\common\ADM\Planning\11.1.2.0\lib.
4. Restart the EPM services.
To roll back a patch:
1. Stop all of the EPM services running on the Planning server where this patch is being applied, including the Planning server, RMI services, and Financial Reports.
2. From a command line, change the directory to <EPM_ORACLE_HOME>/OPatch (by default, Oracle/Middleware/EPMSystem11R1/OPatch).
3. To roll back the patch, enter the following command on one line:
Windows:
opatch.bat rollback -id 28103100 -oh <EPM_ORACLE_HOME> -jdk <MIDDLEWARE_HOME>/jdk160_35
NOTE: The default for <EPM_ORACLE_HOME> is C:/Oracle/Middleware/EPMSystem11R1. The default for <MIDDLEWARE_HOME> is C:/Oracle/Middleware.
UNIX/Linux:
./opatch rollback -id 28103100 -oh <EPM_ORACLE_HOME> -jdk <MIDDLEWARE_HOME> /jdk160_35 -invPtrLoc <EPM_ORACLE_HOME>/oraInst.loc
NOTE: The default for <EPM_ORACLE_HOME> is $HOME/Oracle/Middleware/EPMSystem11R1. The default for <MIDDLEWARE_HOME> is $HOME/Oracle/Middleware.
4. Delete the tmp directory for the Planning server in: <EPM_ORACLE_HOME>/user_projects/domains/EPMSystem/servers/<server> where <server> is the Planning server (for example, Planning0).
5. Restart all the services on the Planning server that were stopped in Step 1, including the Planning server, RMI services, and Financial Reports services.
6. All users should now clear cached files from their browsers.
7. Revert back the backup of files taken as part of post installation requirements.
If the patch that you apply conflicts with a previously applied patch, you may receive the following error message when running OPatch:
Patch(es) <PreviousPatch#> conflict with the patch currently being installed (<NewPatch#>).
If you continue, patch(es) <PreviousPatch#> will be rolled back and the new patch (<NewPatch#>) will be installed.
If a merge of the new patch (<NewPatch#>) and the conflicting patch(es) (<PreviousPatch#>) is required, contact Oracle Support Services and request a Merged patch.
This error is returned when one patch attempts to update a previously patched file. When this conflict happens, you can either (1) roll back the previous patch and apply the new patch (this action might be appropriate if the previous patch was not critical) or (2) request a “merged patch” consisting of the new patch and the patch that it conflicts with. To request a merged patch, contact your Oracle Support representative.
This warning means that the patch being applied is a superset of a patch already on the deployment and the existing patch will be rolled back. The following snippet shows the context of this warning.
The following warnings have occurred during OPatch execution:
1) OUI-67078:Interim patch 12345678 is a superset of the patch(es) [77777777] in OH C:\Hyperion
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OPatch Session completed with warnings.
In EPM System Release 11.x, you can use the lsinventory command to OPatch to find the release and patches that are installed in an Oracle Home. For example, enter the following command on one.
Windows:
opatch.bat lsinventory -oh <EPM_ORACLE_HOME> -jdk <MIDDLEWARE_HOME>/jdk160_29
UNIX/Linux:
./opatch lsinventory -oh <EPM_ORACLE_HOME> -jdk <MIDDLEWARE_HOME>/jdk160_29 –invPtrLoc <EPM_ORACLE_HOME>/oraInst.loc
When patching an .EAR file for an application, you may need to delete the cached files in the following folders in order to see the changes provided with the patch:
<MIDDLEWARE_HOME>/user_projects/domains/<DOMAIN_NAME>/servers/
<MANAGED_SERVER_NAME/tmp/
<MIDDLEWARE_HOME>/user_projects/domains/<DOMAIN_NAME>/servers/
<MANAGED_SERVER_NAME/cache
