How can I find out which releases and patches of EPM System products are installed in a deployment?
Why do I get the following patch conflict error message when running OPatch?
Why do I get the OUI-67078 warning message when applying OPatch?
Why do I receive errors about using an incorrect platform ID?
This cumulative patch set update includes previously released patches up to 11.1.2.3.500.
This Readme file describes the defects fixed in this patch and the requirements and instructions for applying this patch.
Caution: You are urged to carefully read and understand the following requirements. Failure to comply may result in applying a patch that can cause your application to malfunction, including interruption of service and/or loss of data. Before installing or applying this patch:
Verify that your system configuration (product version, patch level, and platform) exactly matches specifications in the Readme.
This is a patch set update (PSU). This Patch replaces files in the existing installation and does not require a full installation. This PSU is a standalone patch.
You can apply this patch to the following releases:
11.1.2.3.x (less than 11.1.2.3.500)
The user applying the patch should be the user who was set up to install and configure EPM System products. Required user privileges or rights:
Use the user account that has Local administrator rights and was set up for installation and configuration. This user is an administrator and is the same for all EPM System products. Assign local policies if required by the product. Such assignments typically are: “Act as part of the operating system," "Bypass traverse checking," "Log on as a batch job," "Log on as a service.”
Use the account that was used to install EPM System products and has Read, Write, and Execute permissions on $MIDDLEWARE_HOME. If you installed other Oracle products, the user who installed EPM System products must be in the same group as the user who installed the other Oracle products. OPatches are not intended to be applied using a root user.
The directory to which the PSU files have been extracted must be on the same drive as <EPM_ORACLE_HOME>, or required PSEs will not be applied automatically to <EPM_ORACLE_HOME>/Oracle_Common. See DOC ID 1643653.1 for details on checking OPatch manually for required PSEs and steps for applying missing PSEs.
For the HFM or Planning web tier, ADF patches 16709748 and 16788543 conflict with this 11.1.2.3.500 patch.

The section includes important information about applying this patch for Oracle® Hyperion Disclosure Management 11.1.2.3.500.
When the migration of a Disclosure Management document exceeds 30 minutes, the HTTP server behaves as if Disclosure Management has timed out and returns a timeout error to the client. The timeout occurs when the migration is still processing on the server side. If you use the Oracle HTTP Server and specified the HTTP port 19000 (the default HTTP port) as the server port in Disclosure Management Options, complete the following migration prerequisite steps. The steps enable you to change the timeout period to 7,200 seconds (2 hours).
If you go to Disclosure Management directly by using port 8600, then you do not need to complete the server prerequisite steps. You must, however, complete the client prerequisite steps.
Important! Turn off your virus scanner or exclude your Disclosure Management folders from your virus scanning software during the migration process.
To complete the server prerequisite steps:
3. Go to the server where the Oracle HTTP server is running.
4. Open mod_wl_ohs.conf at:
<MW_HOME>/user_projects/<domain_name>/httpConfig/ohs/config/OHS/ohs_component
5. Look for the following entries, and modify or set the WLIOTimeoutSecs value to 7200 as in the following example:
<LocationMatch ^/discman/>
SetHandler weblogic-handler
WeblogicCluster FRED9.us.oracle.com:8600
WLIOTimeoutSecs 7200
</LocationMatch>
<LocationMatch ^/discmanwebservices/>
SetHandler weblogic-handler
WeblogicCluster FRED9.us.oracle.com:8600
WLIOTimeoutSecs 7200
</LocationMatch>
<LocationMatch ^/mappingtool/>
SetHandler weblogic-handler
WeblogicCluster FRED9.us.oracle.com:8600
WLIOTimeoutSecs 7200
</LocationMatch>
6. Look for the following entries. If your OHS is configured to receive SSL, then modify or set the WLProxySSL value to OFF as in the following example:
<LocationMatch ^/discmanwebservices>
SetHandler weblogic-handler
WeblogicCluster <server>:<port>
WLProxySSL OFF
</LocationMatch>
7. Restart the Oracle Process Manager.
To complete the client prerequisite steps:
1. Close all Microsoft Office related products.
2. Open the Registry Editor.
3. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Oracle/Disclosure Management.
4. Add or modify the registry entry WebServicesTimeout to 7200.
To find other required prerequiste steps, see the Known Issues section.

For this release, Calculation Manager includes a new feature, Query by Example, in the Filter View and in the Variable Designer. Query by Example enables you to enter a word or text string to display only objects (such as business rules, business rulesets, formulas, scripts, templates, or variables) that begin with that word or text string.
After you filter the objects in the Filter View, Query by Example enables you to further refine the objects that display in the Filter View. For example, if you filter objects to display only Planning business rules, you can use Query by Example to display only Planning business rules that begin with a particular text string or word.
In the Variable Designer, you can use Query by Example to display a subset of replacement or execution variables. For example, you can enter the word “String” above the Type column to display only replacement or execution variables of the string type.
Correlating assumptions is enhanced with the following features:
· The Define Correlations command is now available through the Crystal Ball ribbon (Microsoft Excel 2007 or later) or menu (Microsoft Excel 2003).
· Smart Selection algorithms make it easier to define a correlation matrix by selecting one or a few more cells.
· Matrix view supports consistency checks with adjustment capability plus the ability to switch between adjusted and unadjusted matrix views.
· Matrix view includes an optional interactive correlation chart.
· Scatter charts can be generated easily for correlation pairs within a matrix.
· The Crystal Ball Developer Kit has new calls and constants to support these features.
The OptQuest feature of Crystal Ball Decision Optimizer can now handle single constraint formulas that define multiple constraints. Users can enter formulas with arrays of values instead of separate formulas, for example A1:A5 <= B1:B5.
· Improved Configuration for Database External Connections
The configuration of database tables and views used by an external connection to a relational database has been enhanced to allow the user to filter by schema, object name, and object type (table or view). Objects can also be configured by selecting from a filtered list or manual entry. For more information, see "Defining External Connections" in the Data Relationship Management Administrators Guide.
· Import from Read-Only Tables and Database Views
Import profiles using external connections to relational databases allows the import of data from tables to which the database user only has SELECT access or database views configured for the connection.
· Stateful Session Mode for Web Service API
The Data Relationship Management web service API supports an optional stateful session mode, which may be used as an alternative to the stateless mode available by default. When multiple web service operations must be performed to complete a task, the stateful session mode is beneficial, because it minimizes the overhead of creating and terminating user sessions. For more information, see the Data Relationship Management API Guide.
· Copy Workflow Models and Tasks
Governance workflow models and tasks can be copied to apply changes to their configuration to support different workflow requirements over time. In situations where a workflow model already has submitted or completed requests but must be modified significantly to support new requirements, application administrators can create a copy of the workflow model and change its configuration to satisfy new requests with those requirements. Existing requests will continue to use the configuration of the original workflow model and its workflow tasks. The model copy can be renamed back to match the name of the original workflow model with which governance users are already familiar, and the original model can be hidden after the copied model copy is ready for use. For more information, see "Configuring Governance Workflows" in the Data Relationship Management Administrator's Guide.
· Automatic Update for Workflow Request Items
Request items that are added to or edited in a workflow request are automatically updated when a user performs another request item-level action, such as adding, selecting, moving, or deleting a request item. This behavior minimizes the potential for loss of user-defined values if the user forgets to explicitly update the request with changes made to a selected request item. You can still use the Cancel operation to discard changes made to a request item before performing another request item action.
· Governance Web Service
A new governance web service API is available to automate the creation and submission of governance requests using a workflow model. This service supports basic CRUD operations and the ability to validate and submit a workflow request instance for approval, enrichment, and commitment. For more information, see the Data Relationship Management API Guide.

The restriction that allowed you to MAP a data source heading only once was removed.
General folder structure:
Flat:
Acme.xsd (valid)
./acme.xsd (valid)
/../../acme.xsd (invalid - expect invalid
relative path error)
./../../acme.xsd (invalid - expect
invalid relative path error)
Not Flat:
Entry Path: Folder1/Acme.xsd Folder Name: Acme
generates acme/Folder1/Acme.xsd
Entry Path: Folder1/Folder2/Acme.xsd Name: Acme
generates acme/Folder1/Folder2/Acme.xsd
Update:
Acme.xsd->./acme.xsd (considered SAME
and should not trigger duplicate registration)
./acme.xsd->Acme.xsd
(considered SAME and should not trigger duplicate registration)
./acme.xsd always is saved as acme.xsd
Relative paths are always normalized. For example:
Folder Name: acme
entry folder1/../folder2/acme.xsd should
be registered as in mappingTool.properties
file:
acme/folder1/folder2/acme.xsd
You should see the following in UI when updating:
Entry Path: folder1/folder2/acme.xsd
Folder Name: acme
Legacy registrations (either entered by hand or from previous TM use) should
always come in *as if* the user had specified the top folder in the Folder Name
field.
For example: acme/acme.xsd is already on
the DM Server. When editing in the UI, the entry path should be acme.xsd and the Folder Name should be acme.

Patch Set 11.1.2.3.500 enhances Financial Close Management’s module, Account Reconciliation Manager, in the following areas:
A Reconciliation Header section displays the complete account description, without scrolling.
“Other Attributes” section is added to the Reconciliation dialog box that standardizes the location of custom attributes.
A configuration option is added to the Format definition to display on the reconciliation either the concatenated Account ID or the individual Account Segments with segment labels.
· A new custom attribute includes a multiline edit box with optional attachments feature which enables configuration of:
o Number of lines of text to display
o Whether to display the attachments function
o Includes a “required” configuration for the text box and a separate “required” configuration for attachments
o Enable the attribute to be assigned to Formats (on Summary and Transaction tabs) and Profiles
· When assigning custom attributes to Formats, these attributes are also visible on the Profile for overriding default values and reporting on profile values.
· When assigning custom attributes to Formats or Profiles, the add attribute assignment dialog box enables users to configure:
o The roles that can edit the attribute
o Whether the attribute is required (by role)
o Default values
o Whether values should propagate back to the Profile
· Users can remove standard transaction attributes from Formats.
· Users can reorder both standard and custom transaction attributes on Formats.
On the Questions tab of the Format dialog box, Administrators can now assign Questions by role. If the Required check box is selected for Preparers and Reviewers, users can close reconciliation without answering their questions, but they cannot Submit or Approve. The Required check box is disabled for Questions assigned to Administrators, Power Users, Owners, Viewers, and Commentators.
· A new Action Plan section is added to transaction tabs on the Reconciliation Actions dialog box.
· Administrators configure on the transaction tabs of the Format whether the section should be displayed, and which standard and custom attributes should be included in the section. The section includes:
o Standard attributes for marking an action plan as closed, the date the action plan was closed, and a description of the action plan
o The ability to display custom attributes
o The ability to configure editing privileges for both standard and custom attributes; roles that have edit access can edit the attribute when the reconciliation is Open or Closed, but only while the period is not locked
o Attachment features, which enable preparers and reviewers to add attachments to action plans. Attachments may be added with the reconciliation is Open or Closed, but only while the period is not locked
o Comment features, which enable preparers, reviewers, commentators, administrations, and authorized power users to add comments (which may also include attachments); comments may be added when the reconciliation is Open or Closed, but only while the period is not locked.
· When users first log in to Account Reconciliation Manager, they see a default set of portlets: Administrators can use the new “Save as Default” menu item to the Actions menu or all portlet types which use run time filter selections and column settings (which columns are displayed, and the order in which they are displayed) to be used as the default settings for new portlets of the same type that are created by any user in the future.
· When users create a Dashboard, the column and filter configurations match the default.
· Profile List View, Reconciliation List View, and Transaction List View assume the default column configuration when the Administrators use the Save as Default menu item. Defaults are applied only to new users; they do not override settings of existing users. A Restore to Default option is provided to enable existing users to restore list view column settings to the default settings.
In this release, Financial Data Quality Management, Enterprise Edition (FDMEE) 11.1.2.3 is now certified with PeopleSoft 9.2.
The Oracle EPM Mobile app:
· Provides users with easy access to key business information, for faster decision-making and improved process flow
· Enables on-the-go review and approval by managers and executives
· Allows approvals and workflow across Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Financial Management, and Hyperion Tax Provision
· Offers a consistent user experience across EPM products by leveraging Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF) mobile technology
· Is available for Apple and Android phones from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store
EPM Mobile is available for these EPM products:
· Planning
· Hyperion Financial Management
· Hyperion Tax Provision
· Financial Reporting now supports the Indian rupee symbol and the Turkish lira symbol in report grid cells.
· When users create annotations, they can specify whether users with the required permissions can edit the annotations. When this option is selected, users can change the annotation Title, Description, Category, and Attachments after the annotation is created.
· An additional option that users can select when creating an annotation enables users with the required permissions to edit the annotation context after the annotation is created.
· Administrators can make available to planners a tablet-friendly user interface for performing common planning tasks such as accessing their task lists, working with data, approving budgets, viewing reports, and controlling settings.
· The value of planning units is displayed during the approvals process.
· Import and export run in the background after three minutes.
· You can preserve Microsoft Excel formatting in Planning forms.
· Calculation Manager designers can now set up runtime prompts to display in two columns and in groups.
· LCM support for Essbase data artifact
· Response times were reduced by up to 98% comparing to earlier PS3 releases. The improvements are greater with larger loads and with actions involving large forms, but even single user response times for actions such as scrolling through forms were 10% to 20% faster. Memory and CPU usage were reduced resulting in more than a 50% increase in Planning server capacity. These results are based on testing of an actual customer application with Hyperion Planning running on a Windows 2008 server with 12 physical cores. The server had 144 GB RAM but the Planning heap size was limited to 4 GB. Actual performance may vary based on application design and hardware specifications.
This enhancement to Predictive Planning, a module of Oracle Hyperion Planning, adds the capability to access an alternate Plan Type (Planning cube) to retrieve historical data instead of limiting data access to the base cube for a Planning form. This cube can be an ASO cube for improved data storage capacity.
This patch is cumulative and includes patch 11.1.2.3.300. The following features, first released in PSU 11.1.2.3.300, are available in this release for Profitability and Cost Management:
This enhancement adds the six job types for Standard Profitability to the Job Library and adds the Job Library to the Job Status menu for Standard Profitability applications.
Basic functionality is supported in this release, including job details for each job type.
Note: For Detailed Profitability, the Errors and Warnings columns are applicable to job types where the statuses "Success with Errors" or "Success with Warnings" are applicable.
For Standard Profitability, these apply only to the Import Staging Tables job type. Stop Job is implemented for two Standard Profitability job types: Allocation Calc - Standard, and Genealogy Calculation.
This enhancement enables hyperlinks on the amounts in the Stage Balancing Summary in Detailed Profitability applications to invoke Smart View queries against the new Source Stage Database reporting cube, which was introduced in Release 11.1.2.3.000.
Note: This feature is similar to the Stage Balancing Smart View links introduced for Standard Profitability applications in Release 11.1.2.2.350. For detailed procedures on setting up and using Smart View to view your results, see the Oracle Smart View for Office User's Guide.
Previously, in Detailed Profitability destination assignment rules, the source stage dimension and the destination stage dimension had to be the same dimension for the dimension to use "Same As Source." That limitation no longer applies. The source dimension and the destination dimension can now be different dimensions. During the calculation, the same-as-source dimensions are now matched based on dimension member names. If the member name exists in both the source dimension and the destination dimension, Profitability and Cost Management will consider the destination dimension member to be the same member as the member from the source stage during the calculation.
Note: This is equivalent to the functionality in Standard Profitability applications.
In Detailed Profitability applications, it is now possible to create assignment rules that filter on dimension members using member aliases. In Detailed Profitability, the Alias filter retrieves any dimension members that match the criteria in their Alias name.
Note: This behavior is different than in a Standard Profitability Name filter, which matches criteria on name and alias simultaneously. The Detailed Profitability assignment rule matches only one or the other, depending on the filter created. If you create a filter on Name, it matches members by their name, and if you create a filter on Alias, it matches members by their alias.
This difference between Detailed and Standard applications is due to differences between Essbase and relational databases. Essbase treats names and aliases as the same thing; the relational databases do not.
This enhancement provides a new engine for importing explicit assignments from staging import tables, using the same fast bulk SQL approach used for driver selections, driver exceptions, and assignment rule selections. The new program imports assignments several times faster than the previous version, which is important for models having thousands of explicit assignments. The new program behaves similarly to the old import program, with a few changes to the exception codes reported, compatible with the exception codes reported by the driver selections, driver exceptions, and assignment rule selections staging import programs.
Note: The EXCEPTION column in the HPM_STG_ASSIGNMENT staging import table is renamed to IMPORT_EXCEPTION, also for compatibility with the driver selections, driver exceptions, and assignment rule selections staging import programs.
ACTION REQUIRED: To import explicit assignments using staging import after applying this patch, you must re-create your HPM_STG_ASSIGNMENT staging import table.
This enhancement enables certain steps within the calculation script to be split into multiple scripts that can be run concurrently in Essbase, for a divide-and-conquer approach, to take advantage of the Exalytics platforms parallel architecture. The feature is controlled by two new calculation control model preferences in the Model Level Preferences screen. Select the Concurrent Calculation check box to enable concurrent calculation. In Number of Threads, specify how many calculation scripts Essbase will execute at one time.
The calculation engine for Detailed Profitability applications creates and populates temporary tables and performs bulk inserts and updates. This enhancement extends the Detailed Profitability engine to direct Oracle to execute the bulk INSERT, UPDATE, and CREATE TABLE AS SELECT statements in parallel, using the Oracle Parallel DML capability.
Note: This enhancement is only for Oracle and is not applicable for MS SQL Server.
The option is controlled by two new calculation control model preferences in the Model Level Preferences screen to set model level defaults, and by two new fields in Calculation Rule Definition to override the default settings at the individual calculation rule level.
The new Model Level preferences:
Default SQL Execution Mode |
Description |
Default Number of Threads |
Values |
Usage |
|
Parallel Auto |
Enables parallel SQL DML operations; Oracle determines the degree of parallelism. CAUTION: Oracle recommends that you use this setting only under the direction of a qualified Oracle database administrator. |
This field is disabled in the user interface. |
Parallel User-specified |
Enables parallel SQL DML operations; the degree of parallelism is specified in the Default Number of Threads field. CAUTION: Oracle recommends that you discuss this option with a qualified Oracle database administrator prior to its use. |
The field, enabled in the user interface, specifies the maximum degree of parallelism that Oracle uses for parallel DML operations. The optimal number of threads depends on the resources (processors, memory, storage, and IO throughput) available to the Oracle RDBMS. |
Single-threaded (default) |
Parallel SQL DML operations are not enabled; Oracle executes SQL DML statements in single-threaded mode. |
This field is disabled in the user interface. |
The new Calculation Rule fields that override the model level default settings are Rule SQL Execution Mode and Number of Threads. The values for these fields are the same as those for the new application preferences, with an additional value for Rule SQL Execution Mode: Use Model Preference, which is the default value and which indicates that this rule does not override the default settings.

If you experience performance issues in this release of Calculation Manager, you can switch from using Calculation Manager in Oracle’s Application Development Framework (ADF) user interface components to the 11.1.2.3.000 user interface components used in previous releases such as 11.1.2.3.000.
Note: WebSphere shared library files are not configured for Calculation Manager. You must enable the Bindows UI for Calculation Manager to work on WebSphere.
To switch from ADF to Bindows in Windows:
1. Run the following command:
<Middleware_Home>/user_projects/epmsystem1/bin/epmsys_registry.bat addProperty /CALC_MANAGER_PRODUCT/@BINDOWS_ENABLED true
Note: The default for <Middleware_Home> is C:/Oracle/Middleware
2. Restart the Calculation Manager server.
To switch from Bindows to ADF in Windows:
1. Run the following command:
<Middleware_Home>/ user_projects/epmsystem1/bin/epmsys_registry.bat removeProperty /CALC_MANAGER_PRODUCT/@BINDOWS_ENABLED
2. Note: The default for <Middleware_Home> is C:/Oracle/Middleware
3.
Restart the Calculation Manager server.
To switch from ADF to Bindows in Linux or Unix:
1. Run the following command from <Middleware_Home>/user_projects/epmsystem1/bin:
./epmsys_registry removeProperty /CALC_MANAGER_PRODUCT/@BINDOWS_ENABLED true
Note: The default for <Middleware_Home> is $HOME/Oracle/Middleware
2. Restart the Calculation Manager server.
To switch from Bindows to ADF in Linux or Unix:
1. Run the following command from <Middleware_Home>/user_projects/epmsystem1/bin:
./epmsys_registry removeProperty /CALC_MANAGER_PRODUCT/@BINDOWS_ENABLED
Note: The default for <Middleware_Home> is $HOME/Oracle/Middleware
2. Restart the Calculation Manager server.
If there are performance issues with Calculation Manager in a Windows 8 environment on an Internet Explorer 10 browser, you can use Calculation Manager in Skyros mode.
To use Calculation Manager in Skyros mode:
1. In the System View, select User Preferences.
2. For Available Skins, select Skyros. (The default is Use Default, which is BLAF.)
3. Select the Apply for all users check box to make the selection you choose the default for all users of Calculation Manager.
Note: Although the Apply for all users check box can be selected by any user, Oracle recommends that only administrators use the Apply for all users check box.
If you are an administrator, and all of the users in your company use Internet Explorer 10 in a Windows 8 environment, then you can select the Apply for all users check box to use Skyros or Use Default (BLAF) mode for all users of Calculation Manager. If you are an administrator, and all of the users in your company do NOT use Internet Explorer 10 in a Windows 8 environment, some users may want to use the Default mode, and other users may want to use Skyros mode.
If you, as an administrator, select the Skyros mode and the Apply for all users check box, and, at a later time, a user selects the Default mode, then the user’s setting takes precedence for that user’s logon.
To determine which mode you are in (Default or Skyros), click the User Preference icon.
Note: Within a Calculation Manager script component or condition builder, the Member Selector, the Variable Selector, the Function Selector, and (for Planning users) the Smartlist Selector may not work in Skyros mode in a Windows 8 environment on an Internet Explorer 10 browser. Workaround: Use Calculation Manager on a Firefox browser.

In the Disclosure Management Taxonomy Designer, "xbrli" data types are not shown in the Properties drop-down list. When authoring a taxonomy that uses data types in the "xbrli" namespace, Disclosure Management Taxonomy Designer (TD) may not show them in the Data Type property dropdown list. In release 11.1.2.3.500 of Disclosure Management, Taxonomy Designer does not recognize all data types defined in the "xbrli" namespace by default. The complete set of data types defined in the "xbrli" namespace that are designed for public taxonomies can be found online at: http://www.xbrl.org/2003/xbrl-instance-2003-12-31.xsd To change the data type use for taxonomy extensions, set the <Enabled> element to have a value of "true" in the following <DataType> element declarations in the "XBRLMetadata.xml" file located under XBRL the Taxonomy Designer installation folder. (This file is typically located under: c:/Program Files/Oracle/Disclosure Management/XBRL Taxonomy Designer metadata/): <DataTypes> <DataType> <SortOrder>38</SortOrder> <XbrlItemType>normalizedStringItemType</XbrlItemType> <Name>Normalized string</Name> <SubstitutionGroup>xbrli:item</SubstitutionGroup> <SampleData>Now is a normalized string. Note the trailing space </SampleData> <BaseType>normalizedString</BaseType> <Documentation>Derived from string. All whitespace characters (tabs, carriage returns, line feeds) will be converted to space characters; all multiple spaces will be converted to a single space. You cannot remove a schema namespace from a taxonomy. When authoring an extension taxonomy that references taxonomies by namespace, the Disclosure Management Taxonomy Designer (TD) may not remove all the generated namespace declarations automatically from the extension taxonomy after the user removes a reference taxonomy using the Referenced Taxonomies dialog box. In Disclosure Management, the taxonomy author may need to manually edit the generated XBRL outside of Taxonomy Designer to completely remove all the namespace mappings associated with the removed reference taxonomy. To remove a namespace mapping from the extension taxonomy schema file (typically this is the file that ends with *.xsd): 1. Open the extension taxonomy schema file in any text editor. 2. Search for the extra namespace mapping that identifies the schema that has already been removed in the Referenced Taxonomies dialog box. For example, the "nonnum" taxonomy has the namespace mapping: xmlns:nonnum="http://www.xbrl.org/dtr/type/non-numeric" 3. Delete this line. 4. Save the .xsd file. The next time the extension taxonomy is loaded into the Taxonomy Designer, the taxonomy reference (for example, "nonnum" taxonomy) should be omitted from the Referenced Taxonomies dialog box. |

This is a vendor OS (Windows XP SP3, Windows 2000, Windows
2003 SP2) issue as
described in Microsoft security update:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/973904
You can either use the patch provided in the article or
try it yourself:
http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9706290
To unregister the mswrd632 converter, manually edit the registry as follows:
1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
For 32-bit versions of Windows:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Shared
Tools/Text Converters/Import/MSWord6.wpc
For 64-bit versions of Windows:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Wow6432Node/Microsoft/Shared
Tools/Text Converters/Import/MSWord6.wpc
3. On the Edit menu, click Delete.
4. Click Yes.
5. Exit Registry Editor.
This change will effectively unregister the converter and disable it for third-party applications and for Microsoft Office. Microsoft Office will use its own text converters to open these kinds of files.
If the patch that you apply conflicts with a previously applied patch, you may receive the following error message when running OPatch:
Patch(es) <PreviousPatch#> conflict with the patch currently being installed (<NewPatch#>).
If you continue, patch(es) <PreviousPatch#> will be rolled back and the new patch (<NewPatch#>) will be installed.
If a merge of the new patch (<NewPatch#>) and the conflicting patch(es) (<PreviousPatch#>) is required, contact Oracle Support Services and request a Merged patch.
This error is returned when one patch attempts to update a previously patched file. When this conflict happens, you can either (1) roll back the previous patch and apply the new patch (this action might be appropriate if the previous patch was not critical) or (2) request a “merged patch” consisting of the new patch and the patch that it conflicts with. To request a merged patch, contact your Oracle Support representative.
This warning means that the patch being applied is a superset of a patch already on the deployment and the existing patch will be rolled back. The following snippet shows the context of this warning.
The following warnings have occurred during OPatch execution:
1) OUI-67078:Interim patch 12345678 is a superset of the patch(es) [77777777] in OH C:/Hyperion
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OPatch Session completed with warnings.
In EPM System Release 11.x, you can use the lsinventory command to OPatch to find the release and patches that are installed in an Oracle Home. For example, enter the following command on one line:
Windows:
opatch.bat lsinventory -oh <EPM_ORACLE_HOME> -jdk <MIDDLEWARE_HOME>/jdk160_29
UNIX/Linux:
./opatch lsinventory -oh <EPM_ORACLE_HOME> -jdk <MIDDLEWARE_HOME>/jdk160_29 –invPtrLoc <EPM_ORACLE_HOME>/oraInst.loc
When patching an EAR file for an application, you may need to delete the cached files in the following folders in order to see the changes provided with the patch:
<MIDDLEWARE_HOME>/user_projects/domains/<DOMAIN_NAME>/servers/
<MANAGED_SERVER_NAME/tmp/
<MIDDLEWARE_HOME>/user_projects/domains/<DOMAIN_NAME>/servers/
<MANAGED_SERVER_NAME/cache
The Track Changes feature in Microsoft Word can cause issues during the generation of an instance document and validation. Additionally, when the track changes feature is turned on in a Microsoft Word doclet, the master document imports the entire “change markup” that is embedded in the doclet.
During the validation and instance generation routines, this can be an issue. For example, if the “2” in the mapped value “123” is replaced by “4” (so the net value is “143”), the number with the “change markup” appears as “1423” in the instance document and is validated accordingly.
To avoid this behavior, select one of the following solutions:
1. Disable Track Changes feature by selecting the “Accept all Changes” option and turning off the “Track Changes” option on the Review tab. This solution allows you to commit all changes and remove the markup permanently from the Microsoft Word doclet.
2. Before generating an instance document or performing validation, ensure that the Track Change feature is changed from the “Final Showing Markup” (which is the default when a document is opened) to “Final”. Only the “Final” version should be imported into the master document.
Note that the second solution does not prevent the markup from being added to the master document. It only resolves the issues related to instance document generation and validation.
To fix:
1. Open Excel (2007) Options.
2. On the left pane, click Advanced.
3. Go to the General section.
4. Clear "Ignore other applications that use DDE."
There are situations where the order of the Doclets may change incorrectly after a Refresh All or moving Doclets operation.
To fix:
Refresh the Doclet above and below the Doclet that you want to move. After refreshing rearrange Doclet again.
To fix, you can install either patch provided in the article:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/973904
http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9706290
You can also change your Registry manually, but is not recommended. To unregister the mswrd632 converter manually, edit the Registry as follows:
1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
For 32-bit versions of Windows:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Shared
Tools/Text Converters/Import/MSWord6.wpc
For 64-bit versions of Windows:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Wow6432Node/Microsoft/Shared
Tools/Text Converters/Import/MSWord6.wpc
3. On the Edit menu, click Delete.
4. Click Yes.
5. Exit Registry Editor.
This change will effectively unregister the converter and disable it for third-party applications and for Microsoft Office. Microsoft Office will use its own text converters to open these kinds of files. This is a Windows XP SP3, Windows 2000, Windows 2003 SP2 issue as described in Microsoft security update.
When authoring a taxonomy that uses the 2009 Linkbase Role Registry (LRR), Disclosure Management Taxonomy Designer (TD) may report inadequate errors related to the "negated labels". In release 11.1.2.3.500 of Disclosure Management, Taxonomy Designer does not recognize all roles defined in the LRR.
The complete set of LRR roles are designed for public taxonomies and defined online: http://www.xbrl.org/lrr/lrr.xml
If a taxonomy extension uses one or more of these LRR roles, Taxonomy Designer might report inadequate errors on load related to negated labels. For example, the following errors may be reported:
Missing role definition for http://www.xbrl.org/2009/role/negatedLabel used on elementus-gaap:StockholdersEquityAbstract->us-gaap:TreasuryStockValue preferredLabel role of presentation arc
Missing role definition for http://www.xbrl.org/2009/role/negatedTotalLabel used on element us-gaap:IncomeTaxExpenseBenefitAbstract->us-gaap:DeferredTaxLiabilities preferredLabel role of presentation arc
http://www.xbrl.org/2009/role/negatedNetLabel used on element us-gaap:DiscontinuedOperationsAndDisposalGroupsAbstract->us-gaap:DiscontinuedOperationTaxEffectOfIncomeLossFromDisposalOfDiscontinuedOperation preferredLabel role of presentation arc
Because the US-GAAP taxonomy provides equivalent negated label roles, these errors can be avoided by replacing each LRR role with an equivalent US GAAP role in the taxonomy extension. The SEC will accept authoring of either label roles, according to the EDGAR Filing Manual v18 set of guidelines.
The following mapping of LRR negated label roles to US GAAP negated label roles can be used to correct the taxonomy extension:
LLR Negated Label |
US-GAAP Equivalent |
http://www.xbrl.org/2009/role/negatedLabel |
|
http://www.xbrl.org/2009/role/negatedPeriodEndLabel |
|
http://www.xbrl.org/2009/role/negatedPeriodStartLabel |
|
http://www.xbrl.org/2009/role/negatedTotalLabel |
To change the taxonomy extension role use, complete the following steps in Taxonomy Designer:
1. Add the following LabelRoles to the "XBRLMetadata.xml" file located under XBRL Taxonomy Designer installation folder. (This file is typically located under: c:/Program Files/Oracle/Disclosure Management/XBRL Taxonomy Designer metadata/)
<LabelRoles>
<LabelRole>
. . .

<Name>Negated Net Label</Name>
<Documentation>Negated Net</Documentation>
</LabelRole>
</LabelRoles>
Note that the sort order might be different for a customer depending on the number of labelRoles already defined.
2. Add the corresponding role URI references to the label linkbase file (typically this is the file that ends with *_lab.xml). For example, add role URIs for negatedLabel, negatedTotalLabel, and negatedNetLabel:
<linkbase xmlns="http://www.xbrl.org/2003/linkbase"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink"

Some operations such as XBRL/IXBRL generation, doclets operations, and report duplication, may take long to process, which may result in a timeout error message. To increase the timeout period, create the “WebServicesTimeout” string value in the Windows Registry under the key: “HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Oracle/Disclosure Management”. Specify the value in seconds. The default value is 180 seconds (3 minutes).
Installation of the Disclosure Management Client is performed by the Smart View extensions automatic update feature. In the Smart View menu in Microsoft Excel, choose Options, and then select Extensions. Next select Check for Updates to download and deploy the extension. Before using this feature, be sure to uninstall the previously installed version of the Disclosure Management extension.
To show all arc roles in the pop-up window of the Taxonomy Designer:
1. In Taxonomy Designer, open the taxonomy and switch to the Definition view (View, then Definition, then show all arc roles).
2. Open the extended link node where the dimension members will be added.
3. From the Element list pane, find and select the dimension member that needs to be added.
4. Drag the member to the appropriate node.
A pop-up window titled "Select an Arc Role" is displayed.
5. Select General to Special.
Note that this arc role is temporary.
6. Select the newly added item from the tree view.
7. Switch to the element panel (on the bottom right corner).
8. Expand the Selected Parent Link property.
9. Select the Role property.
A drop-down arrow appears next to "Special to General".
10. Click the drop-down arrow and select the member-domain.
11. Repeat as necessary for all dimension members.
If you encounter an error opening the Taxonomy Designer on a Win2003 64-BIT operating system, it is possible that the "UBMAutomator_options.xml" file is corrupt, or there are invalid entries there in the XML file.
1. Verify that the XML file is valid, and the value: 5,53 (line number, column number) is in this XML.
2. In the In UBMAutomator_options.xml file, change:
<ApplicationLocale>ja Japanese</ApplicationLocale>
<DefaultLanguageCode>ja Japanese</DefaultLanguageCode>
to:
<ApplicationLocale>en English</ApplicationLocale>
<DefaultLanguageCode>en English</DefaultLanguageCode>
When an upgrade to Disclosure Management is made, the xbrldata.properties file is overridden with a newer version. Additionally, a backup copy of the previous version is created automatically with a .bak extension in the same directory as the new version. However, any custom settings from the previous version file are not merged or retained by the new version. If you have customized the previous version (such as the changing the proxy settings), you must reapply the changes to the new version manually.
Now it is possible to apply context/unit/footnote only on content that has already been tagged with an XBRL concept. This behavior does not relate to data-source mappings.
Download and install the SEC Viewer files on your local drive.
The EDGAR validation website may show a validation error if a graphic is included in the test filing. When a graphic is included in the validation web site, the following error may be returned:
In [file_name.htm]: improper external reference (<IMG src="graphic_0.jpg">; Reference is improperly named).
This is a false error and will not cause the submission to be rejected.

If your server has enough memory, consider setting your Max Java Heap size for the Disclosure Management application server to 1280 if 32-bit or higher if 64-bit. Consider setting your Min Java Heap size to 512 up to your Max Java Heap size.
This issue will occur only if taxonomy archive to upload is greater than 100 MB (default configuration for TM component). To upload a taxonomy greater than 100 MB, increase the maximum WLS transfer and disk storage limitations for the TM feature as follows:
Increase MAX_SIZE > 100 MB for both WLS UPLOAD_MAX_MEMORY and UPLOAD_MAX_DISK_SPACE
To see documentation from external linkbases not already associated with a taxonomy, an entry can be added into the MappingTool.properties file. To avoid a server restart after modifying the MappingTool.properties manually, open Taxonomy Manager and select the registration, resave, and the taxonomy with changes is reloaded at the time of next request from the DM client.
Refer to JVM settings above.
Hanging indents should not be used with bulleted and numbered lists. The hanging indent should also be removed before publishing to HTML.

In Standard Profitability applications, in places like Stage Balancing and Trace Allocations, warning messages similar to this one: "The reporting database has not been updated with the latest calculation results" often were incorrect. In this patch, to eliminate all the "false positive" instances of these messages, they have been disabled for all situations (including the valid instances). You will no longer receive warnings when your reporting database is out of sync with the latest calculated results. |
In the Oracle Hyperion Profitability and Cost Management Administrator's Guide for release 11.1.2.3.300, in Chapter 14 Calculating Detailed Profitability, the instructions for creating custom Pre and Post SQL scripts are wrong. Here is the correction for the Creating Custom Scripts section:
Custom SQL scripts can be created in a text editor, such as Notepad or Oracle SQL Developer. Scripts may contain:
· One or more individual SQL statements using the slash (/) on a new line as the statement separator. Do not use semicolon (;). Do not use a slash (/) after the last SQL statement.
· One anonymous PL/SQL or T-SQL block. Do not use the slash (/) -- the block represents a single statement (even though there can be multiple statements inside of the block). Use semicolons (;) inside the block as normally required by the technology (PL/SQL or T-SQL).
You cannot mix SQL statements and PL/SQL or T-SQL blocks in the same script. You can mix SQL statements and stored procedure calls within a PL/SQL or T-SQL block.
The script must be pasted or otherwise loaded into the SCRIPT column of the HPM_SQL_SCRIPT table, as shown in HPM_SQL_SCRIPT section on page 140. You cannot type the script directly into the SCRIPT column in the HPM_SQL_SCRIPT table using Oracle SQL Developer ; the script will not be saved correctly.
Caution! Only the system administrator who has the password to the HPM Product schema can create pre- and postscripts.
To create and load a custom Pre or Post SQL script:
1. Create your custom script within a text editor, such as Notepad or Oracle SQL Developer.
2. Using Oracle SQL Developer, open the HPM_SQL_SCRIPT table. The table is in the HPCM Product Schema.
3. Insert a new row.
4. Enter the required values in the table, including the script type. See HPM_SQL_SCRIPT on page 140.
5. Copy the script into the Edit dialog box for the SCRIPT column. For Oracle using SQL Developer, copy and paste the script from the text editor, or use an update statement to populate the SCRIPT column. For MS SQL Server using SQL Studio, use an Update statement to populate the SCRIPT column.

For Oracle Hyperion Strategic Finance to work correctly it is necessary for the Hyperion Strategic Finance Java Web App, the Hyperion Strategic Finance .NET Web Services, and the Hyperion Strategic Finance Server to be deployed on the same machine.
If an entity is from a version of Oracle Hyperion Strategic Finance prior to version 11.1.2.1, before opening the entity in Smart View it is necessary to make sure the entity has been updated. This can be done by opening the entity in the Oracle Hyperion Strategic Finance client or by using the Edit/Convert menu option from the entities tab of the Oracle Hyperion Strategic Finance Administrator.

If the patch size is greater than 2GB, use the jar --xvf <{RELEASE_ID}.zip> command to unzip/extract the patch.
4. Rename the folder 17529887_WIN64 to 17529887 under <EPM_ORACLE_HOME>/OPatch directory after unzip is completed successfully.
5. On all machines where EPM 11.1.2.3.x software is deployed, from a command line, change the directory to <EPM_ORACLE_HOME>/OPatch.
6. Check that the Central Inventory exists and contains the expected set of components by entering the following command:
Windows:
opatch.bat lsinventory -oh <EPM_ORACLE_HOME> -jdk <MIDDLEWARE_HOME>/jdk160_35
UNIX/Linux:
./opatch lsinventory -oh <EPM_ORACLE_HOME> -jdk <MIDDLEWARE_HOME>/jdk160_35
If this command does not return the expected set of components, the /inventory directory wasn't created properly under <EPM_ORACLE_HOME> during the installation. In this case, follow the steps in "Resolving Central Inventory Issues" below before proceeding with these steps.
7. To apply the patch, enter the following command on one line:
Windows:
opatch.bat apply <EPM_ORACLE_HOME>/OPatch/17529887 -oh <EPM_ORACLE_HOME> -jre <MIDDLEWARE_HOME>/jdk160_35
NOTE: The default for <EPM_ORACLE_HOME> is C:/Oracle/Middleware/EPMSystem11R1. The default for <MIDDLEWARE_HOME> is C:/Oracle/Middleware
UNIX/Linux:
./opatch apply <EPM_ORACLE_HOME>/OPatch/17529887 -oh <EPM_ORACLE_HOME> -jre <MIDDLEWARE_HOME>/jdk160_35 -invPtrLoc <EPM_ORACLE_HOME>/oraInst.loc
NOTE: The default for <EPM_ORACLE_HOME> is $HOME/Oracle/Middleware/EPMSystem11R1. The default for <MIDDLEWARE_HOME> is $HOME/Oracle/Middleware.
If you found the Central Inventory to be missing or incomplete when running the hpatch.bat lsinventory (Windows) or ./hpatch.sh lsinventory (UNIX/Linux) command (see the "Applying This Patch" procedure above), use these sections to resolve these issues.
Additional actions to take to resolve issues with the Central Inventory:
1. Verify that <EPM_ORACLE_HOME> contains an inventory directory.
2.
Verify that the Central Inventory directory on the system is writable by
the current user; if not, you must resolve this to proceed.
On Windows, the Central Inventory is located in: <SystemDrive>:/Program
Files/Oracle/Inventory/ContentsXML/inventory.xml
On UNIX, an oraInst.loc file determines the location for the Central Inventory;
the file may be located in a number of locations; two likely locations are /etc and $HOME.
3. If step 2 is resolved or is not an issue, but the inventory directory is missing, follow the steps in "Steps to Recreate the Central Inventory" below to recreate it.
4. Sometimes the inventory directory is there but is not complete; if steps 1-3 still do not enable patching, delete the existing <EPM_ORACLE_HOME>/inventory directory and use "Steps to Recreate the Central Inventory" below to recreate it.
1. Run OPatch/createInventory.bat or OPatch/createInventory.sh.
2. If you receive a message about the Oracle Home entry already being defined in the Central Inventory, you need to append an attribute "REMOVED" with a value of "T" to the "EpmSystem" HOME_NAME element in inventory.xml as shown in the example below:
For example, change this:
<HOME_LIST>
<HOME NAME="OraClient11g_home1" LOC="C:/OraClient/11.2.0/client_1" TYPE="O" IDX="1"/><HOME NAME="EpmSystem1" LOC="C:/Hyperion" TYPE="O" IDX="2"/></HOME_LIST>
To:
<HOME_LIST>
<HOME
NAME="OraClient11g_home1"
LOC="C:/OraClient/11.2.0/client_1" TYPE="O"
IDX="1"/><HOME NAME="EpmSystem1"
LOC="C:/Hyperion" TYPE="O" IDX="2"
REMOVED="T"/>
</HOME_LIST>
Return to the Applying this Patch Section.
Because this patch provides new application-level (non-user-based) properties, an Administrator must determine these values for the properties below based on the screen resolution used the most by the user base.
1. Launch Workspace and log into your existing Planning application.
2. Select Administration, then Application, and then Properties.
3. Add these2 properties:
o RTP_WIN_WIDTH
o RTP_WIN_HEIGHT
4. For example, for a screen resolution of 1024 x 768, you could specify these pixel values for the properties:
o RTP_WIN_WIDTH 900
o RTP_WIN_HEIGHT 450
1. Ensure that you can log into the Shared Services Console using an account with Lifecycle Management permissions.
2. Log into the Shared Services Console as an administrator.
3. Expand Application Groups, and then select the Planning application in which to apply this fix.
4. Export any dimensions that have shared members of type Smartlist.
5. Import these dimensions back into the Planning application.
These features are supported only in Internet Explorer:
· Ability to copy data from Planning Web forms and paste in Microsoft Excel.

To resolve this defect:
1. In Planning, select Administration, then Application, and then Refresh Database.
2. Select Update Custom Defined Functions, and then click Refresh.
Note: These steps are required only if you created your Project Financial Planning application before applying PSU 11.1.2.3.500.
Note: These steps assume that any Project Financial Planning application created before Release 11.1.2.3.000 has already been upgraded to 11.1.2.3.000 following the upgrade steps in the 11.1.2.3.000 readme.
After applying PSU 11.1.2.3.500, create a new 11.1.2.3.500 Project Financial Planning application that is identical to your existing application.
In the steps in this readme, Application A refers to the application created before applying PSU 11.1.2.3.500. Application B refers to the application created after applying PSU 11.1.2.3.500. When creating Application B, ensure that it is identical to Application A as follows:
· Use the same currency options.
· Use the same calendar definition (for example, application start year and number of years).
· Use the same plan type selections.
To upgrade business rules:
1. Log on to EPM Workspace.
2. Select Administer, and then Calculation Manager.
3. Expand Planning.
4. From the list of applications, select test Application A.

3. Modify the menu definition “WFPMenu” to add a menu item called “ResetTransferredSalary”. Pick up the business rule “Reset Transferred Salary”, and then save the menu definition.
4. Select Administration, then Manage, and then Dimensions.
5. In Account Dimension, add a member called “Transferred Salary” as a sibling to the “Total Salary” member with the following properties.
o Data Storage: Store
o Time Balance: Flow
o Data Type: Currency
o Plan Type: Workforce
6. Copy the member formula for the following three account members from Application B, and then replace the member formula in Application A.
o Social Security Tax
o SUI
o FUTA
7. Set the two pass properties of the above three account members to “selected”, and then save your changes.
8. Refresh the cube.
To export reports from Application B:
1. Log on to EPM Workspace as a Financial Reporting Administrator.
2. Click Explore, then navigate to Application B, and then select Project Financial Planning.
3. Select File, and then Export.
4. Export all the reports to a .zip file.

6. Important: Reregister each of your Profitability and Cost Management applications using Application Library.
7. This step is applicable if you are upgrading from release 11.1.2.3.000. If you already performed this step when upgrading to 11.1.2.3.300, you may skip it now.
If you have already run the create_staging.sql script in a previous release to create staging import tables, you will need to recreate the HPM_STG_ASSIGNMENT staging import table in the schema that you created for staging imports.
You can do this by dropping the HPM_STG_ASSIGNMENT table and then running the statements from the create_staging.sql script that are related to the HPM_STG_ASSIGNMENT table, or you can drop all of your HPM_STG% staging tables and re-run the entire create_staging.sql script. The script is in:
%EPM_ORACLE_HOME%/products/Profitability/database/Common/MSSQLServer
%EPM_ORACLE_HOME%/products/Profitability/database/Common/Oracle depending on your database type.
1. On the Financial Reporting Studio machines, uninstall the Financial Reporting Studio by going to Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs, and then uninstall Financial Reporting Studio.

If you see Permission Denied errors when running the FCMPS3500.sh, change permissions of FCMPS3500.sh by running the below command.
chmod u+x FCMPS3500.sh
1. Run the FCMPS3500.sh after setting the necessary environment variables.
If you see any errors related to SOA composite deployment failure when running FCMPS3500.bat/sh (usually it will appear as Failed to deploy FCCXXXComposite or ARMXXXComposite under the section Retire and Deploy CM SOA Composites/Retire and Deploy ARM SOA Composites) in FCMPS3500.log located at <EPM_ORACLE_HOME>/products/FinancialCloseManagement-Common/scripts.
1. Fix the reason behind the error. For example, you could check if the SOA server and admin server are up and running.
2. Set the environment variables as stated in Step 5 of the "Post Installation Steps" section.
3. In the same command line window, change the directory to <EPM_ORACLE_HOME>/products/ FinancialCloseManagement-Common/scripts.
In some cases, the user interface may not reflect the new code applied by this patch.
To confirm this is not an issue:
· For Account Reconciliation Manager, the Account Reconciliation Manager Validation Tool should display the build version as 11.1.2.3.500.XXXX. See step 12 of the Post-Installation Steps to launch the Validation Tool.
· For Close Manager, the Financial Close Management Validation Tool should display the build version as 11.1.2.3.500.XXXX. See step 11 of the Post-Installation Steps to launch the Validation Tool.
If the build version does not display as 11.1.2.3.500.XXXX, follow these steps to force the user interface to display the new code by forcing WebLogic to check for JSP pages:
Open the WebLogic Administration Console (http://<SERVER>:<PORT>/console).
1. Go to Home, and then Deployments.
2. Expand Financial Close under deployments, select fcc, and then select the Configuration tab.
3. Update JSP Page Check (in seconds) to a non-negative number (for example, 1).
4. Save to update the deployment plan.
5. After saving, set the JSP Page Check (in seconds) to the original value (for example, -1).
Note: If you do not reset the value to -1, you may experience WebLogic performance issues.
6. Save again.
You will need to re-run the wlsConfigARM step as was already done in your PS3 base installation. Please perform the following steps.
1. Navigate to C:/Oracle/Middleware/EPMSystem11R1/products/FinancialDataQuality/bin directory.
2. Edit wls-ARM.properties; enter your WebLogic user name and password and save.
3.
Open the command prompt at C:/Oracle/Middleware/EPMSystem11R1/products/FinancialDataQuality/bin
and run wlsConfigARM.sh (for Linux) or wlsConfigARM.bat for Windows.
4. Ignore error messages such as:
"Command FAILED,
Reason: JPS-04201: Cannot grant permission(s). Grant already
exists for grantee [GranteeEntry:codeSource=file:${common.components.home}/modules
/oracle.wsm.agent.common_11.1.1/wsm-agent-core.jar principals=[]]."
You will receive those messages because this step was
already run in your PS3
base setup.
5.

4. Change the directory to MW_HOME/odi/OPatch
5. Unzip p17178347_111170_Generic.zip.
6. Run the OPatch as follows:
opatch.bat apply MW_HOME/odi/OPatch/17178347/oui -oh MW_HOME/odi -jre MW_HOME/jdk160_35
(Not required if you installed 11.1.2.3.100 or 11.1.2.3.200):
%EPM_ORACLE_INSTANCE%/httpConfig/ohs/config/OHS/ohs_component/epm_rewrite_rules.conf
For example,
C:/Oracle/Middleware/user_projects/epmsystem1/httpConfig/ohs/config/OHS/ohs_component/epm_rewrite_rules.conf
RewriteRule ^/aif/static/(.*) /epmstatic/aif/$1 [PT]
(Not required if you installed 11.1.2.3.200):
· If you have applied 11.1.2.3.100, first unregister the HFM adapter by running UnRegisterHFM.vbs from %EPM_ORACLE_HOME%/products/FinancialDataQuality/bin.
·
To Register the HFM Adapter, run the RegisterHFM.vbs from:
%EPM_ORACLE_HOME% /products/FinancialDataQuality/bin.
The script can be run as follows (replace values for your environment):
@ RegisterHFM.vbs WINDOWS DOMAIN/DCOM USERNAME PASSWORD %EPM_ORACLE_INSTANCE%
(Not required if you installed 11.1.2.3.100 or 11.1.2.3.200):
Copy the %EPM_ORACLE_HOME%/products/FinancialDataQuality/bin/runreport.bat.template
to: %EPM_ORACLE_INSTANCE%/FinancialDataQuality/runreport.bat
For UNIX, copy the following files:
· runreport.sh.template
· runbatch.sh.template
· encryptpassword.sh.template
This step is not required if you have already performed it as part of 11.1.2.3.100 or 11.1.2.3.200.
Perform the following steps if you are integrating FDMEE with ARM.
1. Logon to Enterprise Manager (http://host:port/em)
2. Under Farm_EPMSystem, expand Weblogic domain and right click to select EPMSystem -> WebServices -> PolicySets
3. Select Each of the ERPI policy sets and click on delete to delete the policy set
1. Open EPM_ORACLE_HOME/products/FinancialDataQuality/bin/wls-ARM.properties in a text editor, and update the properties that are required for your environment. Leave all other properties as is, and then save the file.
2. From a command prompt, navigate to EPM_ORACLE_HOME/products/FinancialDataQuality/bin, run wlsConfigARM.bat or wlsConfigARM.sh andensure that the script runs successfully.
3. Restart FDMEE and the Oracle WebLogic Server.
Starting with Smart View 11.1.2.5 and later and the EPM 11.1.2.3.500 patch set update, Smart View is no longer packaged with Workspace or the EPM common installer. Instead, you can download the latest Smart View installation file from Oracle Technology Network or My Oracle Support. Note that Oracle provides a single Smart View installation file for both 64-bit and 32-bit Office systems, Smart View.exe.
1. On all machines where EPM 11.1.2.3.500 software is running for this release, stop all processes.
2. From a command line, change the directory to <EPM_ORACLE_HOME>/OPatch.
3. To roll back the patch, enter the following command on one line:
opatch.bat rollback -id 17529887 -oh <EPM_ORACLE_HOME> -jre MIDDLEWARE_HOME>/jdk160_35
Note: The default for <EPM_ORACLE_HOME> is C:/Oracle/Middleware/EPMSystem11R1. The default for <MIDDLEWARE_HOME> is C:/Oracle/Middleware.
./opatch rollback -id 17529887 -oh <EPM_ORACLE_HOME> -jre <MIDDLEWARE_HOME>/jdk160_35 -invPtrLoc <EPM_ORACLE_HOME>/oraInst.loc
Note: The default for <EPM_ORACLE_HOME> is $HOME/Oracle/Middleware/EPMSystem11R1. The default for <MIDDLEWARE_HOME> is $HOME/Oracle/Middleware.
4. For Profitability and Cost Management, if you have already run the create_11.1.2.3.300.sql script, you will need to restore your Profitability and Cost Management product schema from a backup taken prior to running that script.
5. Restart all processes.
6. All users should now clear cached files from their browsers.
In EPM System Release 11.x, you can use the lsinventory command to OPatch to find the release and patches that are installed in an Oracle Home. For example, enter the following command on one line:
Windows:
opatch.bat lsinventory oh <EPM_ORACLE_HOME> jdk <MIDDLEWARE_HOME>/jdk160_35
UNIX/Linux:
./opatch lsinventory -oh <EPM_ORACLE_HOME> -jdk <MIDDLEWARE_HOME>/jdk160_35
When this conflict happens, you can either (1) roll back the previous patch and apply the new patch (this action might be appropriate if the previous patch was not critical) or (2) request a "merged patch" consisting of the new patch and the patch that it conflicts with. To request a merged patch, contact your Oracle Support representative.
This warning means that the patch being applied is a superset of a patch already on the deployment and the existing patch will be rolled back. The following snippet shows the context of this warning.
The following warnings have occurred during OPatch
execution:
1) OUI-67078:Interim patch 12345678 is a superset of the patch(es) [77777777]
in OH C:/Oracle/Middleware
